Hello again! Look another blog post. So, if you are here there’s probably a reason and you wanted to know more about my clause. I just copied from my guild website about the clause, so here it is and we are going to break it all down.

In Salvation, we are no strangers to love and there are a good amount of couples that are either together, married or whatever. While I would love to say that in a perfect world, everyone will be happy in love and everyone will get along, we all know that at some point, things happen.

I like to open up with something cute and funny on my rules. I don’t know why, people seem to enjoy it so..

Expectations for our couples in the guild are not any different than we expect from single members. Everyone is to follow all the same rules and if you or your partner cannot handle this, then action can be taken if something was to stir.

Make the above KNOWN. Bold it, slant it, underline it.. anything. Just make sure they grasp this simple concept.

In regards to raiding, every raid member is their own person. Everyone will at one point be pulled aside to be enlightened on their flaws and how to help perfect this. With that said, if you are a couple that takes offense to one being told they are doing wrong or one being told that they need to change something, you have no place in raiding at all. The environment around raiding is all about change and adapting to what is going on. If you cannot handle change or anything like that, you should reconsider your spot in raiding.

Again, something that needs to also be stated.

Any couples caught becoming rude and aggressive over raid leaders or officers chatting to their partners will be dealt with in the following ways:
A) Warned

B) Suspended from the raid

C) Kicked from the raid

Lay out the punishment order. Doing this will help show people that you are very serious about taking in couples and they are not above the single players out there.

Might be in order, might jump the order, depending on how badly you get offended. I like to say that we are pretty fair about getting on to each other. I know Dard yells at me when I am doing wrong, you guys just don’t get to see it because it is off vent. .. I am not sure I am suppose to smile at that statement. :<

Be a bit personal with this too if you are a leader in a relationship. It helps show people that even you are not above the rules. Also, Dard was my ex’s old character he used to raid with back in WotLK. Oh and also, laying out that punishment helps out for obvious reason, especially when you are dealing with issues on a bigger scale.

Anyways, as said, anything that is said in regards to your performance as a player is not a hit on your relationship or anything, but suppose to be an encouragement to fix what is wrong to better 9 other people in your raid and help you become stronger at your class. If you cannot accept being given criticism, raiding is probably not for you.

I felt it was really important to draw the future applicant to the point of nine other players. Usually if you remind them that it takes other people to make raids a success, they are less inclined to be jerks and actually support the group efficiently.

As side from the raiding, if you and your partner were to experience a sudden break up or an argument that spurred either in game or out of game, in respect to the guild, please leave it out of the guild chat.

Oh god, I love this portion of the clause. Speaks for itself.

Whatever ill feelings anyone brings into the game does transfer over and we would like to continue not to see a blow up happening from heated conversation between couples. If you feel that you are really pissed off and need to blow off some steam, I am here for all of you. Whether it is an ear to yak off, a PvP partner or just someone to go dick around with for a little bit, I am good to hang out. The same would apply to anyone in the guild that is not busy and can help you. Worse come to worse, if you can’t water down your feelings, please step away from the game, go for a walk and clear you head. Like any relationship, communication will be key and doing so with a clear head will stop an irrational choices, words or feelings from spurring.

As a leader of any sorts, you should always be there for your guildies. Especially as the guild leader. You don’t have to get all personal and such, but these people do look up to you and if you can lend an ear or arm, you are going to go far with gaining respect, trust and love from them. Really, it’s awesome. You get a chance to have such a unique relationship with everyone. Just state that you are there for them and leave it at that.

<3

The clause would be incomplete without a heart.

In my years of being a raid leader, I’ve come to understand that sometimes making choices for the better of the raid results in a lot of butthurt. Kinda silly, huh? I think so. First and foremost, let me say this loud and clear:

YOUR RAID SPOT IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT.

I even went for the bold touch to just ensure someone reads this.

Now, why is that important to note? It seems more and more that raiders are beginning to feel entitled to their positions. This is wrong. As a raider, you are on the team because your leader has entrusted you to be the best of the best for yourself and your group. You are expected to always come prepared, ready and with a game face. If you fail to bring those three simple things, then you are doing it wrong. No, really. You are.

I cannot stress enough how frustrating it is as a leader that people cannot follow the basics of raiding. It’s like the logic to it eludes them. When you are not bringing your 110%, you know what that tells us? It screams that you are only here to waste our time. Especially if you are one of those many people that leaders invest time, gold and ect to get you up to par to be part of the time. You not being a team player suddenly becomes a terrible and wasted investment on someone who could care less about the team.

Now, I am speaking so.. harshly? I don’t know, I doubt this sounds harsh. Regardless, I note things like this because I have to deal with them on a daily base. If I can get maybe two or three of you to take flight with these words, your raiding career is just going to soar! Also, I may or may not have had an issue with a raider in the past few days that resulted in punishment and he felt very entitled to what his spot.

For my guild/raid leaders out there, it’s very important to lay out the rules of the raid so that you have a foundation for your raiders to stand on. If you make that foundation as solid as possible, the more likely you are to avoid issues down the line. For myself, I always told my raiders that I can understand and accept that mistakes do happen, but if the mistakes are continued repeats, then there will be other action taken.

I generally warn people about 2 times before I really come down hard on them. I also give a day or two in improving performance to better help the raid and more importantly themselves. There are guild/raid leaders who have no patience, which is kinda sad to me because I think patience is like a requirement for this job, lmao. Anyways, a little time spent, some warnings and nipping things in the ass is always going to be the best way to ensure you keep raiders on track.

You alone have to stress the importance of the three things they need to bring. Set the example and help them when they falter! Hooray.

Guild Message of the Day.

Simple that’s what GMotD stands for. I feel like I have to say what it is because it’s so ignored! Why!?

I can’t say I’ve always checked the GMotD, but since my guild leading days began I check it like a hawk. Mostly because it does get used for some sort of real purpose. I also post a lot of reminders in it. Like.. ACCEPT OR DENY YOUR RAID INVITES.

Well, I already ranted on about this topic in my video. So how do you change this when your guildies decide to be blind? I happened to find my solution one night when we were goofing off with the message of the day. I ended up typing something like ‘HEY. I love you guys.’ One of my lovely friends and guildie remarked the day or so later that she felt the GMotD was yelling at her and it made her read it.

Who would have thought that something like HEY could be so attention grabbing, yea? Of course, now that I’ve been using it quite a bit my guildies have learned to tune out the HEY and now I need something new, but being creative to grab the attention of those that log in is the best way to go about correcting the issue.

If in the end all else fails and those guildies were too damn lazy to be caught up on their own accord, let them learn a lesson and have them sit out of a function or something. Maybe harsh, but hey! It does work.

Oops, Youtube wouldn’t let me have WALL OF TEXT in the box.

Okay guys, I wasn’t going to have a big opinion on this thread and those coming into, but I did get asked to post it up. For those of Moon Guard and the Livestreamers, please understand that this is an opinion from a very neutral stand point because I can sympathize with both sides.

I came to meet Towelliee and his fans through a TGN video posted up on our server forums. I will admit, I was upset that once again Goldshire was featured. In response, I decided to speak up in my own video and basically say shame on TGN for supporting people griefing the server. I had no idea who Towelliee was nor his internet fame, but when I awoke from my slumber.. boy was I surprised.

My video attracted a lot of his viewers. A lot of them were pissed I was against their fun and how they just brought more attention to the server. A lot of the comments were just making fun of my weight and things like that, which didn’t bother me because I am happy with who I am and their opinions didn’t even address my comments. So life goes on, yea?

I had explained to Indie in private messages that I am sorry and I do understand the fun they were having. I understand that it wasn’t Towelliee’s or hers intentions to bomb the server with stupid in any form. Like their video, mine was also open to discussion and opinion. Just sadly, that opinion was more of my weight and going to troll me vs. the actual content.

So a day or so passed and someone said I was in the Livestream. Still, I didn’t know who Towelliee was and his fame. It wasn’t until I did some surfing that I found his videos and stream and watched everything in relation to this. I sat and listened to Towelliees opinion about what he was feeling.

Now, people on Moon Guard know that I am very open person. I can accept the opinions of others so long as they are mildly informed. He mentioned that he is not to blame for the stupid that rolled in and spammed, that he cannot be the person people point the finger at. He also commented that for every 100-200 griefers, we benefit as a server because we gain 20-30 roleplayers.

When I listened to his words, I was still on the fence that it was his fault. I was very much against what he was doing. To say the least, I wanted to see him punished for what he was ‘encouraging’ others to do.

In a twist of event though, when I was out roleplaying in the Cathedral a massive wave of level 1′s and Mr. Towelliee dropped by and said hello. I groaned IRL because I was already getting nasty comments on my videos about my opinions and my annoyance was a little high. So, I jumped into the stream and listened. I listened as Towelliee whispered me on his character. At first, I want to say he was trying to screw with me to see if I would get mad or something.

Wouldn’t you? Someone and his fans that just attack your opinion on a Youtube video is suddenly in game at your feet. You expect the worse, at least I do because i know what people are capable of. However, I put on my nice face and talked to Towelliee and I have to admit something.

Talking to him was the best choice I ever made.

We had a casual conversation, he stayed nice and I did too. A couple days later, his fans and himself came back to Moon Guard and were really.. really lovely. I listened to the Livestream and I heard Towel tell his people not to act like dumb dumbs. He said warned them they would be banned.

For the next few days, he kept on saying it. Since my chat with Towel, I’ve grown to really like him as a person in the WoW community. I’ve grown to really like his fans too. They were really lovely and sent me some of the nicest whispers ever. The Livestream was very polite as well after Towel and I had a small chat.

I really felt like I needed to explain my story because if I don’t, I know people are not going to understand why I have a shift in emotions.

This is the time where I truly address my opinions. What do I think of Towel? I believe that he is a nice person. He has a humor that I can dig and I enjoy watching his vlogs and raiding streams. His videos have helped me broaden my view with our future trek into the Firelands and really, he is quite nice to talk to in game. I watched as he added his own fans to his Real ID to be engaging and run heroics with them, ect.

Do I think Towel is to blame for anything that has happened with the Livestream and Moon Guard raids? No. Gasp! In my video, I did blame him because I was ignorant to his warnings going out to people before, during and after their stays on Moon Guard. I was not aware he was making active attempts to tell people that if they act a fool, they will be punished.

And it’s because he warned them prior to this post, I gained a lot of respect for him. See, I believe that if you are a voice, a figure in any community really, you are going to be heard the loudest. Sadly, sometimes what you say or do will encourage others to have a chance to act like asses. When they act like such, it makes the voice or the figure look bad. This isn’t something that’s strictly gaming related, this is Real Life related too. Is it fair? No, but I hope Towel and friends can see why Moon Guard had the thread up like they did.

However, I respectfully disagree with his comment about the griefers and gaining roleplayers in from the sea of stupid. Yes, any addition we get on this server is one more person keeping the RP alive, but stupid can overpower and drive those away. So I personally would rather have 100 roleplayers and 20 griefers. If only in a perfect world, yea?

Do I hate Towel fans? No. I do not hate anyone for that matter and I actually was very impressed at his mature group of fans and friends that did not act as our usual spammers would. You could tell the difference in Towel followers to just randoms trying to get noticed in someone’s popular stream. There was a huge gap and that’s why I took a step back to really re-evaluate who I was truly upset at.

I learned that the problem didn’t lie with the fans. It was the sea of dumb that was outside of this group. The guys trying to show up and make someone else look like an ass because they wanted attention. That’s not really fair to blame someone for the actions of people he can’t control or won’t listen.

Is Goldshire a problem? Yes, it is. However, it was a problem long before Towelliee and his fans came to say hello. Long before anyone else was bringing Fel Guards to wipe out people and ect. Goldshire will be a thorn in Moon Guard’s side for as long as it thrives because it’s the price we pay for being a large server.

In closing because I have gotten wordy, Towelliee and fans, thank you for coming on to Moon Guard. Thank you for coming and being kind as you can be around others and listening to Towelliee when he said don’t act like fools. I prefer you guys have better names, but that’s just me.

A note to my love, Moon Guard. Remember, these people who come to gawk and laugh at our server only see one side of us. It’s the people that move beyond starting zone really get a grasp of the community. If we want to make a difference, doing our part and reporting names is great, but we need to act like a helping community.

You guys alone saw the power of the care packages we do, you saw the letters of thanks and being so happy. That’s what we need to show people. We need to make that statement, ‘Yes, we understand about Goldshire, but let me show you something special and unique about Moon Guard that’s going to change your mind’.

At the end of the day guys, people will judge Goldshire as it is but the way the community holds itself will forever make a statement that last far longer than anything negative about us.

Hey, guys! Today we are going to be majorly productive! By productive, I mean that we are going to cover the great things about recruitment and how to improve on it for those of you struggling to add numbers to your guild.

First and foremost, you need to understand the three basics of recruitment. The who, what and how. We will do a complete breakdown of them in detail more than I did in the video to help give more guidance outside of my ramblings.

So, the who! Who!? Yes, who. As a guild leader, it’s important to figure out who you are. Your guild needs a clear definition of who they are to attract a crowd to your name. If you don’t even know who you are as a guild, then you are pretty much shooting yourself in the foot. We are going to use my guild as an example for this. When I started out Salvation, we were a roleplay guild only. We emerged as some sort of beacons of hope for change and being all for the people in Azeroth. We advocated for the betterment of the people and really used that as a driving force to launch ourselves in the community. It’s because of that we became very popular. We had a guild with a goal and a focus, both of which that stayed on the same course as one another.

As time went on, we became an RP and raiding guild and it did change our recruitment style a bit. However, we still held on that very first who of the guild and still do to this day. Without the who, no one will know who you are, where you are going or what you are doing. As a guild leader, you can’t afford to skip that part or you will be forever doomed to randoms with no purpose or drive to your guild.

Now, what. What, what!? Yes..

The what portion of this is going to be the backbone of your who. Once you figured out who you are, you need to give your supports through your whats. Like with Salvation, our cause was to give people second chances, help out Azeroth and fight against the evils. It sounds great on paper, but without anything in motion it’s a complete waste. We decided that since our focus was roleplaying, we were going to host rallies to get people motivated to our cause. Our server events went off great and we got a lot of feedback for what we launched. People noticed that we were making an active approach to rally up the masses to come out and be proactive with being the good guys.

It’s because of that kind of support, we were able to launch a string of other events that played on after the rallies. Great fun was had. As you can see, we did something that spoke volumes to our cause. When you are guild leading, you have to take that approach. I understand a lot of you are not into roleplay and certainly not all guilds are based like that, so we are going to talk about other supports to keep people interested.

As a guild leader for a raiding guild, I’ve learned that support comes through proof. For PvE, it’s going to be your achievements, bosses down and things like that. PvP guild leaders need to lay out their credentials, honors, ranks and ect. Both guilds should also post like consistent times where they do certain activities, like raid or rated BGs. a raiding guild wants to lay out the days and times they hit content so it looks like they have things in order. Same for PvP guilds. Maybe your PvP guild runs a solid 2-3 hours on battleground weekends and then a weekday is reserved for rated BG night. You just want to show people interested in your guild that you are have all your chickens in order. That’s going to be key.

Moving on now, how. How the hell are you going to put your name out there when you figured out the who and what? Well, good thing you are not just limited in how you can advertise for your guild. I’ve seen all in game, out of game and external sites used to post about a guild. We are going to break down all the different ways you can do the how and ways to make your guild seem appealing in it all.

In Game Features

With in game features you have two sure ways of recruiting:

Guild Recruitment Channel

Guild Finder

Guild recruitment channel is not always used too much anymore with the new guild finder available, but I still see posts going through it on my server. So, we are still going to cover it. Blizzard chat only allows for 255 characters per entry and you need to be mindful of that. Of course, you can always use more macros (And yes, I said macros because I doubt you want to rewrite your ad every time), but you don’t want to spam the channel and get too wordy.

For Guild Recruitment when I post, generally I put up something as this:

<Salvation> is currently recruiting casuals and roleplayers alike. We are an RP and raid guild with many opportunities. Level 10 required for membership. Please seek an officer to discuss further about the guild.

Simple and to the point. Sometimes people add their guild website in there, it works out as well. You want to give them a bite of your guild, not the whole meal. Get them to come to you and want to be interested in the guild. Bait them basically. Now, you can be creative about it and I encourage it. Just be unique, but keep it as simple as I had mentioned.

Now, guild finder. For those of you that don’t know what the guild finder is, allow me to show you!

Guild finder! Yay. As you can see, that’s a current picture of Salvation’s little info box on there. Of course, we hit 22 during our guild meeting last night so that’s about the only thing incorrect in there.

To access your guild finder, open the guild tab > click INFO tab > click on RECRUITMENT TAB > fill in the blanks. Simple and easy!

As a breakdown, lets go over all of it. You can see where Salvation’s interests are checked off. Obviously PvP is left off because we do not actively PvP as a guild. We do get involved with RP-PvP events, but we do not care to really engage in that aspect in the guild. I left it checked off for a reason because we don’t want to appeal to something we are not into. You need to keep that one in mind too. Don’t check off everything for a big audience. Check off what you need.

Now, availability. My guild is very active all days of the week. If your guild is more of a weekend guild with high activity then, you may just want to check that off, but it is not a make it or break it deal if you hit both of them. I know that some people really want active guilds all days of the week, so if you are checking off all and you do get a bite from someone like I described, make sure you tell them that you are only really active these days and ect.

Class Roles, I check off all because I don’t really think it matters either way. Especially if you are taking in casuals too. For raiding, I get more detailed in the next box.

Level, really up to you. I allow all levels, others just want strict 85′s.

The information box. Same concept here with the guild recruitment channel post. Just be simple, hell you can use that in here.

And there is your ways to use in game methods to your recruiting advantage! Yay.

Out of Game

This can get a little confusing, but when I say out of game I am only referring to the World of Warcraft forums.

This is your basic look at the WoW forums, you can easily navigate from here to your server and/or the guild recruitment link to post up about your guild.

I screen-capped my own recruitment post so you can get a general idea of what I did. It’s pretty self explanatory.

So as you can (hopefully) read over, the rcruitment post is organized. You can see that I listed my who first. Who is Salvation and then began to list out the what we are. I kept the flow going, being a bit humorous in the post too. It’s key that you add a bit of character to your post because that will help it shine a bit more. You can see in the last picture I caplocked and bolded one of my officers in jest because I kinda forgot to add him to the list of officers. My bad! But do you see how it just kinda added a bit to the post? Be creative.

In my final words, what you do with your recruitment is going to make a statement about your guild. Keep it positive, stay motivated and show people that you are a driving force with your guild and you will be good to go.

Oh, boys. I really meant it when I said you were next.

When the tables are turned and it’s men reacting to new females joining in the guild, I just can’t help but laugh. I know that sounds bad, but hear me out.

So lets say you recruit a female in the guild, you welcome her in and the guys greet her too. Guys reach out to the new guildie wanting to know them. I never really run into an issue with boys being unwelcoming, but it does happen. However, that’s not the case right now. The guys find out the new person is female and it’s like after they find out that bit of information, they jump to their other male friends and start creating a plot.

All of these boys start talking about how are they going to get her into vent. How are they are going to appeal to her and so on. It’s just so funny to watch them from a leader stand point make these desperate attempts to woo the girl. Sometimes they get creative and other times.. well, most times it’s just really pathetic. To me though, it’s funny whatever it is. I guess the concept of the thought process they go through to make themselves appealing to the girl is just so amazing. Some of the ideas are just so crazy. And even more so when they work!

Anyways, enough on that. You can watch my video and listen to my giggling speech about them.

I did want to highlight on something, which came much later in the video and that was addressing the problem. Even though I find boys and their attempts hilarious, it can be a problem. Especially if their attempts make a girl very uncomfortable.

Some of the signs to watch out for would be:

Boy constantly bugging girl for attention/activity

Girl shying away or avoiding boy

Girl getting a bit hostile or uneasy with the attempts

Boy remarking about girl to others about her being the catch or flavor of the moment

Those are really basic signs and as a leader, you need to be able to catch when this is going on. Even if you are not completely sure, you need to be watching for it. I don’t want to make it sound like girls need to somehow be protected from boys, but boys can be very headstrong especially on things they want. Sometimes you just need to step in and talk to the parties. When I see it happening, I usually approach the girl and say, ‘Hey, if anyone is bugging you or anything, just let me know and I will put a stop to it’. I also talk to the offending party and let them know they are being a bit too pushy.

When you take the approach like that, you are not only making a statement that you care about the well being of everyone involved, but you are also keeping that line of communication open and that’s so important. Having that as open as much as possible will always curb most of your issues, but that is another statement for a video and blog another time!

Boys just always remember desperation is not sexy.

As a guild leader, the most important thing you are ever going to do is recruitment. Why recruitment? Well without it, no one knows who you are, what you are doing and where you are going. It’s going to be the one thing that draws people in for the most part. When you advertise your guild, you are putting yourself out there and you are making a connection with the community, a connection that tells other that you are interested in what’s going on depending on the aspect of your guild.

With all that said, recruitment can always benefit you or hurt you. One of the ways that it can hurt is when you have established guildies being extremely unwelcoming to newer members. A classic example is when a new female joins up and suddenly all the senior girls are pissed as can be. Why are they pissed? Who the hell knows. Majority of the time when a girl acts like that to a newer girl is because of something petty and immature in them. The older girls may feel like the new one is some sort of threat. Which to a degree, I can understand why.

At some point, we have all experienced where a new girl joins, suddenly she gets favored by the guys and most of the time a guild leader and/or officer. As she is favored by them, she gets showered with perks. I can see that being a major reason as to why some girls would get catty towards the new ones, but at the same time it’s not exactly a good excuse to lean on when you, as a female gamer, are being bitchy.

Girls, I cannot stress this enough. Not all of us women on the internet are trying to steal your man. Some of us don’t know your boundaries or what you’ve gone through with other girls, however you don’t know all of us either and you can’t judge when you have no idea who we are moments after we join your guild. I started saying this little comment a lot that has just stuck, so I am going to repeat it here.

Ladies, keep your vaginas in check.

Really, do so. I say that with as much care and kindness that I can because it’s not meant to offend. It’s meant to help you. If you can just take a step back from firing off on your emotions, you can save yourself a ton of problems down the road.

Especially with situations like these where the new girl joins the guild, ect. There’s no reason to set the foundation for drama by talking as though you know better than everyone else on someone’s character. When you girls do things like this, do you ever consider what it does to your guild leader? Probably not, but let me break that down for you.

When we find out that senior girls are shit talking the new girls, most of us facepalm. It baffles us and/or disgusts us when we learn what was exactly said. When you act so catty and bitchy, you make yourself look bad, your leaders look mean and the rest of the guild is made to look like assholes. As leaders, we expect everyone in the guild to share the same happiness as we do when we welcome someone new into our ranks, regardless of the sex. You are expected to put a smile forward, wave your hand in greeting and say welcome just as we do.

Now later on down the line, if you get into a place where you do have issues with the new girl then that’s okay. It’s fine to have issues later when you have a chance to actually get to know them. We don’t expect you to be buddy buddy with other girls especially if you are not feeling very trusting. It’s okay to have feelings, but there’s a difference in having feelings over time and having feelings because you are being immature.

So, remember that girls. Remember that not all women are your threats. Not all of us are out to wreck your relationships.

And guild leaders, the best way to deal with these sort of issues is by talking to the offending parties. I don’t mention the new guildie because sometimes they are completely unaware of what was being said and most of the time, it’s better to try and deal with this without making more drama. Curbing the drama is the best thing all of us leaders can do. Punishment should be as you feel and depending on the nature of the shit talking.

Generally, I just talk and warn. I’ve never had to go beyond that. Later down the road if girls couldn’t get along despite talks would warrant a lot more, but at the start of it all usually warning if enough to stop them.

Slow internet is slow.

Anywho, this post is also a test to see if this feeds on to Facebook correctly. I doubt it will, but we will see.

Oh, the Q and A video. I basically just talk about how I got the idea, why I am doing it, video release dates and whatever else came to my mind at 5:30 in the morning. Best time to film, yea? I think so! I will update this later when the video is done uploading (sitting at 73 mins upload time, ha).

Hey guys, Venita here.

Do you ever find writing the first post to any blog as the most difficult one? It’s like your first impression to the world! How stressful, yea? I think so because I always want to find the right words to make people drawn into my blog. One day, I shall find those perfect words. For now though, I guess I can explain the hell I’m doing with this blog. It’s simple really.

I play a game called World of Warcraft. I’ve been actively playing since January of 2007, right before the release of Burning Crusade. It has become my hobby and something that I enjoy to do. The people in Warcraft are generally pretty cool, some times nutty but that’s okay! The internet brings us closer to so many different people, yea? For better or worse, ha. Anyways, I got off track easily. So, I have been playing this game and in this game you have the choice of joining a guild or not. You can also make your own guild! However, I wasn’t aware of that and being extremely new to an established game I felt that I wasn’t really in a place to run a guild.

Come to think of it, I don’t know if I would have been able to understand the concept of charters and needing signatures, ect.

So, I became a guildie in a lot of guilds. I jumped servers until I finally found my home. I withhold the name for various reasons, but it’s not a huge deal or secret. Going on, it was on this server that I decided that I was done being a guildie and wanted to try my hand at being a guild leader. I was extremely unprepared to be a guild leader. I didn’t have a clue on what to do, how to handle issues and so on. Hell, picking a name was hard too because you didn’t want a guild that screams you and your friends are assholes or something that makes you guys completely invisible to the crowd. However, over time I came across so many issues, joys and woes from being a guild leader and I like to think I’ve done a pretty damn good job in being one.

That brings us to this blog and my youtube channel. I was really looking for a way to combine a lot of things that I love. That being my filming passion and being a guild leader/avid gamer. Then this idea was born! I did some research first on my idea because I didn’t want to jump into something that maybe a lot of other people were doing. My searches came up empty and I saw that as my green light to press forward!

And forward I went with my idea. Diary of a Guild Leader is going to be my personal views about being a guild leader. I wanted to show gamers maybe another light to their leaders. It’s my goal to get a community involve with this channel and blog to express other viewpoints on handling hot topics, ect.

Well, I think I spoke enough. Mostly because it’s 6:17 AM and I really don’t want to ramble too much in blog. Ha. Here’s a link to the promo video.
